Virtual Authors
At our school, we are committed to fostering a love of reading and writing by providing pupils with enriching and meaningful experiences. One of the ways to achieve this is by engaging with authors through live online events and virtual workshops. These sessions give pupils valuable insight into the writing process and the journey from idea to publication.
This engagement inspires a love of reading and writing, encouraging pupils to think deeply about texts, ask questions and develop their own creativity. It supports the development of vocabulary, comprehension and oracy skills, while building confidence and enthusiasm for literature.
These experiences enrich our reading curriculum, ensuring all children have access to high-quality literary opportunities and are inspired to see themselves as confident, life-long readers and writers.
