Following on from the Prime Minister's broadcast last night, I know that everyone will be anxious to know how we intend to phase in the return of children to school.

I will be consulting this week (as will all school leaders) with the local authority, all staff and governors in order to formulate a plan that will ensure, as far as is possible, to keep children and staff as safe as we can.

I will also be asking for your views, these are your children and we need to consider your thoughts.

As soon as I have anything definite to share with you, I will.
