Online Safety: Keeping Safe Online

As part of the Computing curriculum, children will access the internet as part of their learning.  A key part of this learning is the need for children to understand how to stay safe online.  Online Safety lessons are taught to the children with age-appropriate examples and activities; and reinforced throughout the school year.

The starting point for online safety is for children to understand the four principles of staying safe online.  We explore facts and activities from CEOP's website www.thinkuknow.co.uk.

People are not always who they say they are.

Be nice to people online.  Treat them the same way you would at school.

Always keep your personal information private (e.g. where you live, date of birth, which school you go to, etc.).

If you are worried, or think something isn't quite right, tell a grown up that you trust.
